That is a headline!!! Wouldn’t you agree? I have a lot to say about our local market but, today I am suffering! What am I suffering from you ask? Ahhhhh…..Well, while at the the gym the other night, the same program I have been going to for close to a year now, (just to give you some background). We were running in a group of outstanding women, anyway I rolled my ankle in grand fashion. I was running in front of a car stopped for our group and in the lead I should add and I just didn’t pick up my foot and whoops there it is…..rolled the ankle and kept running knowing that I can pull out of this. Needless to say about 10 feet later I am falling and out of control. I hit the ground scraped my knees and hands and of course hit my head. Then to add to my humiliation were 4 other stopped cars and people on the street and the other women I was running with. I could hear people saying , “Oh my god”, and “Wow”, and of course, “Are you ok?” The girls helped me get up took me back to the gym where my trainer stated: “you looked graceful as you went down.” Oh yes that made it better LOL. I was convinced that I was ok and just needed to go home ice my knees and ankle and I would be fine the next morning. I was still in denial the next morning! I got up, dressed went to Wednesday morning tour to a great home on Donald Dr in Chico. I was still in pain and my foot had doubled in size and all of my collegues stated I needed to get a brace and stay off of it. My 17 year old son Logan even told me to stay off it, what does he know, right? So here it is Thursday and I have decided to listen to all of the great advice. I am staying home and keeping my foot elevated and placing it in an ice bath every so often. I am not used to this and certainly would not make it if I had to be home bound for any length of time. I will get rid of the swelling and I will be participating in the Run 4 Food 5K on Thanksgiving morning. There are quite a few around me who think I will be unable to make it….I will be there!!!! So what is the reason for writing this hopefully humorous blog today and not really talking real estate? You see all of us Realtors are real people too. We have crazy things happen to us and we can be in denial just as easy as the next person. My hope is that if you are reading this that you would like to have someone like me help you purchase or sell your next home. The next time I write I promise it will be about how I have overcome this injury and am back running around looking for the greatest deal for you and your next home.

Current interest rates as of today at noon are 4.25% on a conventional fixed rate home loan. This was courtesy Stanford Mortgage. Thanks so much. So rates are still historically low!!!!! There are so many homes to choose from with great prices out there. If you are in the market to buy a home here is what I say……DO IT NOW BEFORE RATES GO UP!!!!!  This week there have been several properties that have come up in Chico for around $250,000 or less. These are great homes for the first time buyer. On the other hand if you are an investor looking for income I happen to have that too. Now onto other things…..after the same picture for 5 years I decided to have a new one taken. So myself and 3 of my office buddies had our picture done together so we could all give each other kudos for how beautiful we looked. I have not seen the finished product yet but, I did see 1 proof and we all look spectacular!!! What a self esteem booster. I believe that everyone should have a professional picture taken every few years. My thanks to Avalon Photography for his hard work. Well that is all for now I like to keep things short and sweet. As soon as I have my new picture I will post for all to see. Below you will find another inspirational quote that I hope will make you smile. Have a great weekend!

Good Afternoon!

I did it! I successfully uploaded a virtual tour! This is a beautiful home tucked away in the Amber Grove subdivison. I hope you enjoy looking and feel free to leave a comment or call with any questions. Meanwhile, it looks like there is a good schedule if you are in the mood for and open house this weekend. I am hosting my first Open for the weekend at: 4 Creek Circle in Chico. This is a lovely home priced at just $339,000.  Then on Sunday from 11-1 I will be at: 2043 Palm Ave. Another cozy centrally located home in the Avenues. This price has just been reduced to $194,900. You will be hard pressed to find a house in the Avenues that is this clean and cute priced this well. I hope to see you there.

I hope you enjoy one of my favorite quotes below. Have a great weekend!
